  • Statue people, heights, paper circles and more on seven nation army.

'Enrichment and enterprise week' was actually three days where we paid £16 to do stuff.

    Day 1
We went to London. The tour of the globe theatre was alright, then we went on the London eye! Loads of statue people hang around near there: The statue people scare me! 8| The London eye was fun, but I was more afraid of the heights this time! I did what ben told me to do last time "when you get to the top, you have to look right down and you'll feel better" It does actually help loads! Sarah said I looked like I wasn't enjoying it that much because of the heights, so she said this : "we're starting to go down now, there's only one song we can sing isn't there? we're going down, down in an earlier round, and Sugar we're going down swinging, i'll be your number one with a bullet, a loaded god complex cock it and pull it!" good times!

    Day 2
We had an 'art' day, where basically we just cut out paper circles and stuck them onto a huge sheet of paper. :zz: boring or what? Then we played rounders and I got sunburn! :'(

    Day 3
the day of choice: I did polyprophelene (where you make a lampshade out of this plastic stuff, it was boring) circus skills (because there was too many people doing african drumming, but it was fun anyway!) and jewellery making (which was alright).

    More about Seven nation army!
...It didn't get recorded! :( but our teacher listened to us performing it and said it was good (and that the vocals were good : which surprised me cause I sang worse than I did in the rehersals!)
    88|

    I might get bass lessons!
    If my dad lets me!

    that is all for now!

P.S. well done Italy on winning the world cup!

  • Hyde park calling!!

Yesterday I went to Hyde Park (in London) for day 2 of 'Hyde Park
Calling' (I've also put up the myspace links for all the bands in the supporting line-up)

Firstly we walked around a bit to find the second stage, we saw a couple of songs by a band called 'Kharma 45' They sounded really good! :>>
    check them out!

Then we went to the mainstage to see 'Ocean Colour Scene' They were Great! I knew a couple of their songs too : The Day We Caught The Train and profit in peace. :)
    oh yeah and them too!

Next on the mainstage was 'The Zutons' Who were fantastic! And everyone went absoloutely mental when they started playing 'zuton fever' They also played 'Valerie' and 'Why won't you give me your love?' ;D
    Yeah, and click this link!

After that on the mainstage was 'Razorlight', but they were on at the same time as 'Primal Scream' in the second stage. In the end I went to see 'Primal Scream' and they were amazing!! They played a couple of songs from their new album and of their older stuff. They save their best songs for the end (well I think so!) Rocks and Country Girl. The atmosphere was brilliant! :D
    Here ya go!

The band who where headlining it where 'The Who' and they really are legends!! I think one of the guys is 66 years old! 88| But they still rock! I really enjoyed 'The Who' sadly we missed the encore because
I had to go to school today...:zz:

    ...Shame! ;)

  • 7 nation army, sports day, the drama competiton and the failure whos typing this...

    ...that failure is me!

This is my apology (to Jo and all the people who read this blog) for not updating my blog for what seems like ages! Also to whoever said I was doing long jump in sports day : Next time i'm doing short distance running.

Actually this whole failure subject links niceley onto the next topic on my list, which is sports day. The SAD ones came 4th out of year 9 and we weren't in the top (for the whole school) Last year we were 1st in year 9 and 2nd out of the whole school. We were almost definatley the best form supporters, because we wrote 'SAD' on our forheads in face paint. It was Siany's idea, sorry I mean Sian! Sports day was on Thursay.

Also on Thursday was our music lesson, we're doing a really fun project a.t.m, we get to record two songs based on popular music : one we wrote ourselves and a cover version of a song that exists. I chose to do seven nation army by the white stripes. Emma on guitar, Emily P on the keyboard, Tab on drums and me on vocals and bass, we've already had a full run-through with out bass and it's sounding pretty cool I have to say!

One day later and finally we get to 'The year 9 drama competiton', which was...umm...messy (with fake blood, whipped cream and pretend dead corpses being thrown into the audience) and there were boys dressed a girls and vice-versa. My group weren't in the top 3, because we really screwed it up! People forgot lines and some idiot got the music mixed up (Sorry Blythe!) there was also a minuature limo, but lets not talk about that! The group I really liked was the group with Dan and George as the ugly sisters in 'red hot cinders'. They had to wear dresses and dance to the pussycat dolls, The cheeky girls, 'livin' la vida loca' and 'all that jazz', which also involved whipped cream being sprayed...with boys in dresses!! 88|
Boys will be boys...oops! I mean girls!

Oh! before I forget...happy birthday Tom! - his company is called 'light it-sound it' by the way.

So I hope this essay of a blog update has made up for the long delay.

keep checking back for more updates.

    love Ems!

  • The noodle bar (my lateish b-day party)

People invited : Sarah, Bex, Jo, Joe barnsie boy, Emma, Hodgey, Laura, John and lucy. And me of course!

I met everyone at the station, I was the last to arrive (15 minutes late!! oops!) though we got on the train in time and met Lucy at the other station. And then we went to the noodle bar to get a table for 11! best of all we didn't have to wait 1/2 an hour like last time. Joe also spotted Nathan Detroit from guys and dolls and said stuff like "why it's good old reliable Nathan!" we went shoping after that, then to our usual table in our usual cafe for ice cream and smoothies. Then we had to catch the train before we missed it, but we never do!

     the crew at the station

...And yes Tom Hodgey I had a shamtastic day!

Oh I almost forgot! Here's a funny video I found on youtube yesterday! Teachers are annoying and embarrassing so here's a bit of revenge!

  • The barn dance

Hodgey invited the crew to a barn dance organised by his parents. It was such a laugh! The people who went were Hodgey, Laura, emma, Joe Barnsie boy, Emily and John (or ledgend as Laura calls him!) Such a shame Lucy wasn't there! ;) Joe thought he was such a pro, but kept tripping over when he was dancing with Laura. We all wrote our names on plastic cups : Sexy Dumb Blonde (emma), Sexy ginger (Joe), Sexy Beast (Laura), Innocent Dumb Mouse (ems), can't remember what Emily was and Tom (Tom)! :>> We also saw some boys outside from my old school, we had no idea how they knew my name and how they recognised me as i've changed so much since then!

Well that was fun, you'd think that'd be enough excitement for one weekend but today's gonna be fun too. I'll write about that asap!

  • Happy b-day to me!

Yay it my b-day! I got a digital camera!

  • Happy Birthday Jo!

Happy Birthday Jo! Have a great day! By the way I'll give you and Emily your prezzies on monday. ok?

  • Happy birthday Emily P!! (and more about the spanish trip and myspace)

Happy 14th birthday Emily P! Have a great day...i'm sure you will! :D

Spain was fun...remember on the coach journey the driver turned the radio up when 'I like the way you move' came on, everyone was singing really loud...even the teachers! It was so funny when Hodgey was talking about 'shams' (I think a sham is Hodgey's version of a sheep) :>> I want one! Also Stuart and Juliet's collection of disney princesses...I'm slightly worried, so is Tom G. George loves Donnalbain! :>> No! George isn't really gay with a character from macbeth! :>>

'I think it's time we move on now'...

    I'm on myspace now! :D

  • "Oh yeah!" and "Oh crap!" - 4 days in Spain

    ...It's a bit cold here isn't it?

But at least I can't get sunburn in England, because earlier today I was on a school spanish trip. So there's good news and bad news. So lets get the bad news out of the way shall we? : My fave sunglasses broke! And yes zoe, they are the gorgeous ones I got in Dublin airport last year! Also I lost my purse today...It had my hard-fi badges on it :'( and 40 euros inside too! :( But the great news is this :  My ipod is fixed again! ;D I took it with me to port aventura (not too sure why though) and I went on a ride and got a bit wet. So I thought i'd check my bag to see if my ipod was even more messed up than before. I switched it on and it was there!! 88| I was sitting next to my friend Emily and she said it was a miracle. I said it was strange, because the day before my ipod broke I had a huge argument with my brother and broke his football because I was in such a bad mood! I don't know why I did it. So I got him a brand new better one the day before we went to port aventura. :??: strange isn't it? Well now i'm home i'll be staying in and not walking for hours! Gotta go! I must get some decent sleep before I collapse! :zz:

  • OH NO!!!

I don't know a word bad enough to describe how i'm feeling right now, so i'll just tell you what happened : I had my ipod in my hand and I was about to show my dad what i'd just put on my ipod (a song by the band he used to play bass in) as I was passing it to my dad, I dropped my ipod on my brother (who was sitting on the stairs at the time) It then fell down the stairs, so I went to pick it up. There was nothing on the screen!! I tried everything! It still plays music, but theres nothing on the screen...so I can't control my ipod!! AND I'M GOING ON HOLIDAY THIS FRIDAY!! I have nothing to do on the plane! And if you know me well you'll know I love my music...lots! Making matters worse...it's an ipod mini, you can't buy those anymore!

What the hell am I gonna do?
